THE LONGEST RESIDENT AT THE WAYNE COUNTY DOG SHELTER
Louise is the life of the party here at the shelter! As our lead greeter and helper dog, she takes charge of our daily play group with boundless energy and enthusiasm. Louise is the one who breaks up any scuffles, encourages shy dogs to come out of their shells, and leads the charge with her contagious leaps and zoomies, getting even the most hesitant pups to join in on the fun. Her playful spirit and confident presence make her an absolute favorite among the other dogs, volunteers and staff alike.
What You Should Know About Louise:
She's not a “Chill” Dog: If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, chill pup who’ll quietly serve as a trip hazard and patiently observe, Louise is NOT the gal for you. She’s full of life, constantly on the move, and thrives in environments where she’s engaged and stimulated. She will definitely let you know when it’s time to play or when she has an idea you didn’t sign up for.
Ignoring her?
Well, good luck. She’ll find something to do—and I guarantee it won’t be what you had in mind!
No Cats, Please: Louise isn’t exactly the type of dog who respects personal space, so a home with cats might not be the best fit. She’s a little too enthusiastic for their delicate sensibilities and might unintentionally cause stress for them. If you have a cat-free home, Louise will be in her element!
If you think you can handle a dog who’s as wild as she is lovable, then Louise might just be the perfect addition to your family! She’s a bright, energetic, and mischievous girl who loves to be the center of attention and will keep you on your toes. But with a heart as big as her personality, she’ll repay your patience and energy with endless affection and loyalty. If you’re ready for a dog who will make every day an adventure, come meet Louise!
